Why Urushi?

Urushi is Japan's oldest natural coating material, used for 9,000 years.
Durable, beautiful and food-safe once cured, it has long been used on utensils that touch the mouth.
THE URUSHI has achieved "non-peeling urushi" by baking it onto stainless steel.
